Should Brazil still care about beating Netherlands?
After 7-1 humiliation from Germany, there isn’t anything left for Brazil but try to fight for the third place. Brazil are still suffering from their loss to Germany and being Brazil, the third place in the competition where they were the host doesn’t mean much.
This time Brazil relied too much on talent but but lacked unity as a team in the end. To be fair to them, they missed their two best players and leaders on the field, Neymar and Thiago Silva (captain). On the other hand, thy faced the toughest German team that we have seen in resent history.
Other than being let down by the players, Brazil fans feel that they have been let down by their coach as well. Truth to be told, Luiz Felipe Scolari doesn’t really have an impressive resume to coach a team like Brazil. He is Brazil native and understands their game but is not known to be a technically skilled coach. His last bog team that he coached in Europe was Chelsea where he was sacked shortly after taking over.
They will be facing Netherlands who only missed a little bit of luck in penalties to beat Argentina and move to the Final. Many considered Netherlands from the beginning as one of the favorites in this World Cup. Regardless if they win or lose, it won’t have a significant value for any team.
Netherlands played a great match but where unlucky in the penalties and on other hand, the host Brazil was humiliated on their turf.
Unless Brazil learned from their last match, another loss will only make matters worse and only time and future success would have to heal the wounds.
